It is necessary a good image to make people buy the products, because whenever we want to sell a product we use something attractive and somehow related hit to advertise it.

This image represents the brand "Intimissimi", which sells underwear, advertises its products using a beautifully shaped suntanned woman as a model.

I think that this image has all these techniques of advertising, because exist:

- beauty appeal;

- sex appeal;

- logo;

- emotive appeal;

- glittering appeal;

-gender.

Consumption

Nowadays consumption, consumers, sellers and advertisements are inevitable in our society. However, when people buy more than they need, we are facing a big and serious problem:

Consumerism, there are even some people who cannot control themselves and need to buy everything, as if they were addicted to it:

Shopaholics.

Living in a kind of society in which selling and buying products (and moving profits from these trades) is the final goal and in which people are move recognized for what they have than for what they are not only sad but also worrying. It's urgent that we do something to change our attitude or else the problem will be unbearable in not saying that i don't belong to this society and that sometimes i buy somethings i don't really need but i really try hard not to buy everything i want without thinking if i really need it.

Cloning

The process of cloning involves lots of science and deals with genetical manipulation. It also raises lots of moral and ethical questions. Because of all its complexity I'm not totally against it but I'm also not for it.
If we are talking about science serving human's health, like cloning human organs in order to save lives, I think it can be beneficial.
However, if we are talking about science trying to be "God", then I can't disagree more. I can't even stand the idea of cloning humans because I think each human being is different and unique and that's what makes us special.

I really can't imagine having a clone of myself!!!

Genetically Modified Foods

The Genetically Modified Foods bring some conflicts, because there are people with arguments in favour and against.
The people with arguments in favour, tell us that genetically modified foods don't have problems, because some scientists say that G. M. Foods isn't dangerous and that the pesticides are more dangerous than G. M. Foods. They also say that it can help to stop world famine and we know that a America, Canada, Argentina, Mexico and China are already producing G. M. Foods.

However, there are also people with arguments against.
These people tell us that a lot of European Countries don't accept G. M. Foods because they aren't natural and that they might be dangerous for us and for the environment and, although there is no evidence of that, they are dangerous for us, there is some evidence that they are dangerous for the environment and G. M. Plants can kill harmless insects, like butterflies and reduce genetic and biological diversity.

In my opinion, genetically modified foods are process that I will like to see more developed, because I agree and I believe tha they can help to stop world famine, I don't really see the danger it can cause, although I understand that people are affraid of this process.

Ecotourism

As we are living in a global age in which we can travel all around the world in a simple easy and comfortable way, mass tourism is becoming a more and more serious problem: lots of people cause undoubtfully lots of pollution and destruction even without meaning it.
So, some people are turning themselves to a less polluting way of doing tourism to natural areas: ecotourism. It is a bit more expensive most of the times but your stay is organised so you have the least impact possible on the natural ecosystems you are visiting.
Ecotourism is becoming more and more popular, so lots of people are looking for it. On the one hand this is good for the economy of these areas, because they can easily raise money to preserve their wildlife. On the other it can be prejudicial because there is the risk those areas become as crowded of people as massive destinations, causing some damage to the local natural ecosystem.

Global Warming

The global warming is the increase of the temperature of the planet. Its main causes are the fires, the destruction of the ozone layer and the gas emissions by cars and factories, for example.

Consequently, global warming is a very destructive environmental problem. Acid rain, the changes of the weather, the increasing of temperature, the ice caps melting and the raising of the sea level are some of the phenomena that global warming is responsible for.

To decrease global warming we should stop using the car so much and use public transports, such as the bus, instead. We should also develop renewable energies and try not to pollute our planet so much and always do the recycling.
I really hope we think deeply about this and take these measures soon to prevent global warming from destroying our beautiful planet.

My name is Tiago Alexandre Amarelinho Maldonado. I'm seventeen(17) years old. I was born in Oeiras on the 3rd of February.
I live in Brejos de Azeitão with my parents, Mário and Ana, and my twin sister, Andreia.

My favourite sports are football, tennis, swimming, but i only practise football and swimming.
